![]() If this doesn’t work, try resetting your brush to default settings. Go to the brush settings panel Window>brush settings (F5) and uncheck dual brush. The most common one is that you have dual brush checked in your brush settings. The Photoshop brush size may not be accurately filling the brush size preview when you paint for several reasons. Why your Photoshop brush size is not accurate Press Caps Lock again on your keyboard to turn it off and this will change you back to the circular brush size indicator. Caps Lock switches the brush tool from the circle outline to the crosshair preview. I use these brushes for almost all of my Photoshop sketching and have included new “real” style red and blue layout pencil variants as well as my more artificial, digital pencil brushes as a bonus.The Photoshop brush size preview is not showing because the Caps Lock Key is on. Use a softer lead and the tooth fills in more readily. Use a harder pencil lead and it will be, well, harder to fill in the paper’s virtual tooth. Press light and the stroke shows more paper. Press hard and more tooth fills in for a more opaque stroke. They use a painstainkingly tweaked combinations of texture and flow settings to create the most realistic marks possible through a range of real pencil hardnesses. My real pencil brushes have locked opacity. ![]() Texture is often an afterthought and feels tacked on.
